Password Protection on schedules

It is my understanding that a schedule in Project Server can no longer be
password protected. We have locked down the server so only the 10 people in
the group have the permissions to save to the server. All other persons have
only read access. But, the problem we're having is that schedules will have
information changed and we don't know who is making the change. Is there any
way possible to further fine-tune the permission set to actually designate
which specific file any one person is able to save?

Hi Debbie,

Try posting on the server newsgroup. Please see FAQ Item: 24. Project
Newsgroups. FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information
can be seen at this web address: http://www.mvps.org/project/.

Mike, can you explain how I get to the newsgroup? When I go to the web
address you list below, and go to FAQ item 24, it does list 3 newsgroups, but
I am unable to pull those up (e.g. it lists microsoft.public.project, so I
try to enter http://microsoft.public.project and I get a response "page
cannot be displayed". When I use the link at the bottom of FAQ item 24, it
actually goes back to THIS discussion group (i.e. a circular reference!).
thanks for the assistance!

Hi Debbie,

If you are using a browser like the one I use - Outlook Express - then you
need to set up an account in exactly the same way as you did to view this
newsgroup.
