Is there any way you can protect a Publisher Document by using Passwords, as
you can do in Microsoft Word.

Nope. Don't think your Word documents are protected, either - the
security is *very* weak.

You can use a password-protected ZIP file of your .pub, or you can
create a PDF (which may or may not be encrypted).

Would you be kind enough to advise how you password protect a Zipped file?

Did you miss the fact that the poster asked about Publisher, not Word.

There are a couple of things that can be done but it would help us to know
what the OP wanted to achieve.
