Typing all upper case is considered by most to be shouting and is more
difficult to read especially if you first language isn't the one used.
Two ways here. To impose password protection to the entire workbook
you could use:
File > Save As
Click Tools
General Options
put a password in the modify box
confirm
OK
This makes the workbook read only without requiring a password for
opening it. The method sequence varies slightly between versions of
Excel but it is always under the File > Save As dialog. (In 2003
there's an additional route through Tools > Options)
Alternatively, you could use:
For all sheets:
Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet
Give and confirm password
OK
Then
Tools > Options > Protect Workbook
Give and confirm password
OK
The advantage of the second approach is that you don't have to protect
against changes to the entire workbook but can allow access to
pre-formatted as unlocked cells or sheets that you have not protected.
Be aware that password protection of any sort in Excel should be
regarded as very weak and a trip to Google will reveal how easy it is
to circumvent them.
