Paste an excel graph in Word

I used to be able to paste Excel graphs onto a Word page without it changing
the aspect ratio by using "paste special, picture". Now every time I try
this under all settings it seems to paste the Excel graph as though it were
"sized with the window". Have I changed a setting that needs to be returned?

Is the insertion point in a table cell, frame or text box when you paste?
