Everything was fine and then for some reason that I cannot trace to any
changes I made to word or IE (or firefox) all pictures and other links that
I try to cut and paste from either browser into word 2000 come up looking
like this:

{ HYPERLINK " (some http:// address here) " }

This must be a very simple problem---I hope.

Thanks in advance!

Don't know about Firefox, but it could be in IE your Internet temp cache is
full, in IE, tools, Internet Options, delete files.

In Word, press Alt+F9 to switch between display of field codes
(what you see now) and field results. If that doesn't help, then
in Word click on Tools | Options | View tab | uncheck the boxes
for "All", "Field codes", and "Hidden text" | Print tab | uncheck
the boxes for "Field codes" and "Hidden text" | OK.

garfield-n-odie [MVP] said something like:

For the record and for anyone googling this sometime in the future and
wondering: Alt+F9 works perfectly.

Thanks g-n-o!
