Pay roll equations

I am trying to use excel'97 to manage a very simple
payroll. I am having a problem getting a figure from one
sheet to transfer to another one. This is all taking place
within the same book. Does anyone have an answer?

Karen, not sure if this is what you need but this will show, transfer, whats
in sheet1 cell A1 =Sheet1!A1
