Periodic File Linking Performed Automatically

I have an Excel application that needs to periodically link to files sitting on a server to update information. This can be done hourly, or a few times a day. I currently have about 20 file to link, so I don't think it's realistic to ask users to manually link each one periodocally.

Is there a way to make Excel do an automatic file linking without having to close the main workbook and reopen it?
