Permissions on public folders

I want to lock down the public folders so that users
cannot download the contact information they contain to
handheld units. I also do not want them to be able to
copy, cut, download, export, etc. this information,
either from their desktop or using OWA.
Outlook 2000, Exchange Server 2000.
Thanks!

Not really possible. You could have everyone use terminal services to access
the server instead of running Outlook locally - this will stop them from
syncing to a handheld, but you can't stop them from copying, forwarding,
anything to which they have read access.

Thanks, Lan - I was thinking that was the case. This is a
paranoid delusional request from management that doesn't
make any sense, but I had to ask!

You could tell them that you could secure all your data by taking away
everyone's computer!
