Personalised settings in Project Pro not working for PWA Projects

We are currently using Project Server 2007.
I have a scenario where if I open a project in Project Pro and change
formatting of the project, then save and publish and close. When I re-open
the project in Project Pro the formatting is gone.
Is it not possible to save these formatting changes when in the project
server environment as I can for projects saved to my desktop??

I was able to resolve this issue by making a copy of gantt view and
formatting the copy.
