Phantom project (templete)

I recently had to restore some templates we use which I
extracted from an earlier backup. Turns out one of these
was corrupt (by KB 318438) and it began to show some
problems after the import. I don't remember exact steps -
either I aborted the import or I deleted it (using Clean
Up) later. I think the former. Now, however, when I try
to import another copy (that is good) Project complains
that I have the name checked out. Of course, I do not
see it on either the list that can be deleted or in the
list of checked out projects.

Is there a way to clean this up safely?

TIA,
Scott

Scott:

Sounds like a corrupt database record. You could try deleting the record for
this project file directly in the MSP_PROJECTS table.

Thanks Gary, I'll take a look there.

So the record is there (with nulls in many of the
fields). I see three options. 1) Leave it and ignore
it, 2) try to "check it back in" through the back end so
that I can overwrite it with the good version, and 3)
delete the record.

Is there advice about which of these might work best? I
do notice that the checked_out_date is filled for all
projects but haven't yet found the Checked_Out flag.
Thought I'd ask for advice first.

Thanks,
Scott

Gary,

Worked great. Of course now I have another problem
record (see other post on Project that won't delete).

Thanks,
Scott
