Some user laptops don't show all the pictures I've included in a
presentation. What's the most universally accepted pic format and is there
anyway to click on a pic in my presentation and find out what format it is?

Hi,

Unlike David, I'd go for png first. Lossless compression, transparency layer
and PowerPoint "understands" it.

I agree that PNG tends to be a better format, but it is a newer format
and less likely to work everywhere than JPG and GIF.
