picture no longer displayed.

After I insert a picture into a word document it will display.
But when I scroll down to another page and come back up the picture is no
longer displayed. It still prints out with the picture displayed. It
reappears if I change the size of the picture or move it. I want it to
display all the time no matter how much I scroll up and down the page.
Move the graphics accelerator slider to midway on the scal is not the
correct solution. Please give me the correct solution.

I have the same problem and none of the suggestions listed in the link
helped. Other people in my office also have the same problem. The problem
does not occur in Wordpad. I always see the box outline but the picture
won't display. I can get the picture to display by cilcking the lower part
of the picture, holding down the left mouse button, and moving the cursor up
towards the center of the picture. Then it will display. But scroll up or
down, come back and the picture is gone. If you scroll half way through a
picture and then back, the part that scrolled off the screen is gone and the
part that stayed on the screen remains visible.

In print preview mode things get really weird. When scrolling, pictures
will appear and disappear randomly. However when I zoom to 54% size in print
preview mode all the pictures appear normally. The problem remains however
at any zoom level in regular print layout mode as well as web layout mode.

HELP!

I have the same problem, same symptoms. My pictures appear and reappear.
Sometimes only half of a picture displays, the other half is blank.

It started just after i did updates, including update on XP including sp 2.
I had avoided updating my XP fo a long time. Cannot remember if i also did
office updates. i have office 2002.
