Picture placeholders

When I get a picture embedded in an email (no attachment)
I only get the picture place holder - not the picture
itself. Is it possible to fix this? Or is this a problem
with the sender?

Before we go further, some information is necessary for us to narrow down
the
problem. Please collect it for me. I appreciate your effort.

1. Does the problem occur in all graphics or some specific graphics?

2. What is the installation mode of Outlook 2000, IMO or CW?

Note: Outlook 2000 has three installation modes: Internet Mail Only (IMO),
Corporate or Workgroup (C/W) and No E-mail. To check your installation
mode, please
click "About Microsoft Outlook" on the Outlook Help menu. In the About
Microsoft
Outlook dialog box you can see if you have installed Outlook in "Internet
Mail
Only", "Corporate or Workgroup" or "No Email" mode.

3. What is the email account type, POP3 or Exchange server or HTTP?

Based on my experience, this issue is often caused because they are using
an
incorrect way to send the emails with pictures. Therefore, the picture is
lost or
corrupted when the email is transmitted through the Internet.
