Pictures and Page numbers; not hyperlinks

When I try to copy and paste pics from the internet, or insert a page number
or date into Word 2003, I get hyperlinks instead. Any solutions to this
please

Press Alt+F9 to toggle the field codes, but note that when you paste a
graphic from the Internet, what you're getting is a link to its location
online; if you want the picture to be embedded in your document, select it
and press Ctrl+Shift+F9 to unlink it.
