Pictures in Word 2003 document not printing correctly

John

I have created a Word 2003 document which includes some pictures. On
screen it looks fine, but when I print the document it prints the top
half of each picture twice, one above the other. The bottom half of each
picture is not printed at all. Can anyone tell me how to correct this?
Thanks!

Hi John,

If you're using an HP printer (seems to occur more
with those) try printing directly to the printer
without going through the Windows spooler first and
see if that makes a difference.

Hi Bob,

The printer is an HP Deskjet 5650. How do I turn off the Windows
spooler? I'm using Windows XP Pro. Thanks!

Hi John,

In Start=>Settings=>Printer or in File=>Print
select properties. Print directly to printer
may be on the advanced tab or it can be a port tab
setting.

Hi Bob,

I found it at Start=>Printers and Faxes where I selected the printer,
then Set Printer Properties=>Advanced. I changed the setting from "Spool
print documents" to "print directly to the printer". However, that
didn't fix the problem.

I have used the HP software updater and also checked the HP website, and
I am using the latest driver for this printer.

Any more suggestions?

Hi John,

Do you get the same result if you print to
the optional install, MS Office 2003 Document Image Writer?
(install Microsoft Office 2003
listing in add/remove programs in the Windows control panel)

or if you turn off the 'Enhanced Printer' features
in the Printer properties for the HP printer?

You may also want to check the HP beta drivers here.

What is the build # in Help=>About in Word 2003?
