Pictures not showing in a emailed mail merge

I am trying to do a mail merge that contains pictures
where I email the merge to many different contacts in
Outlook 2000. I know how to do the mail merge but when I
did a test run on it and opened it in the address i sent
it to the pictures were not there. Can anyone please help
me?
