Pivot Table STDEV any resolution???

I just read the threads about the standard deviation problems with
pivot tables in Excel:Mac. I am also having the same problems and was
wondering if a resolution was ever reached. Just a recap of what I
read. Using a pivot table to calculate standard deviation for a series
of numbers gives erroneous results. I confirmed this by calculating
the SD by hand and opened the same file on a windows version of Excel
and had no problems. This is a huge problem for the work I do. I
recently switched to a Mac from PC, I hope I didn't make a poor
decision.

I originate the threads you refer to. So far, I have not heard anything
from microsoft. But, I just sent an e-mail to my contact asking for an
update. I'll let you know if I learn anything new.

Switching from PC to Mac can never be a bad thing :)

Here is the response I just received from microsoft.

"We've identified the source of the problem and have put the fix
through some initial testing. I can't say yet when we'll be able to
release a fix, but the bug is high on our list of priorities."
