Placing the Movie Behind Animations and text.

Microsoft Poerpoint 2003. I often work at local churches, desigining their
powerpoint presentations. I would like to use a looping video file behind
text and animations to give added "look" to the presentations. Inserting and
looping isn't the problem, however, the movie, when playing, is always on
top, and there doesn't seem to be any option anywhere to change that in
Powerepoint. I want animations to show up on top while playing.

Also, It would be nice to be able to have effects on "playing movies" (as in
fading a movie while it is playing etc.)

If anyone knows how to do either of these, please post! But I accually think
that Powerpoint was not programmed to do these functions.

Come on Microsoft! The only other programs that offer these options are on
MAC!!! I hate mac. So please, fix this problem.

In PPT a movie is always on top (ie. cannot place text or other graphics
over the movie).

Most churches will use a video mixer and the slides that have a movie
"under" them will be designed in B/W then mix the video and PPT
chroma-keying the PPT feed to eliminate (make transparent) the black (or
white) background leaving only the white (or black) text.

Sorry, no can do. PPT just isn't built that way.

Nope, can't do that either.

The thing to remember is that PPT doesn't really have much to do with media
at all. Rather it calls on system resources (MCI player) to play any media.
What it don't have control of, it can't control. <g>
