Play only part of an .mpg file

Hi-

In PP2007 I have inserted an .mpg file that is 1:01 long and runs fine. I
just want to play the first 10-12 seconds of it and have the slide advance.
I have the animation set to advance at :10, but it doesn't move on until the
entire file has expended itself. Is there a way to do that or do I need to
edit the clip down to the length I want to play?

I tthink you have to edit your file (video movie maker will make it in few
seconds)

You might want to look at PFCPro, it allows you to edit video directly in
PPT.

Set the video to start on click. The next click on the video will stop it,
one more click advances the slide.
