Please Help: Cannot connect to Project Server

S

Suzzi

Hi, Have Admin rights with client ProjectPro on my PC.
Created and published projects to the server with no
issues. However, while working on a project plan lost
connection to the server. Since then can't connect to the
server. When starting Pro got a message that connection
can not be estabslihed. Checked my account, and it is
still active. Had Admin looked at my NT account, and
everything looks fine. Checked Microsoft KB to no avail.
Has anyone since this behavior? Thank you very much.

Have got messages like "Communication Failure" and the project closes. But
am able to open up again, once I check in the project from Web Access.

Another problem I faced was when I changed http to https and the projects
checked out vanished from the server !
Does this help ?

What happens when you try to logon from another machine?

Gary, When I tried to map to the server got this error
message:
====================================================
During a logon attempt, the user's security context
accumulated too many security IDs.
====================================================
Microsotf Knowledge base search came up with this article
that was a bit misleading:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;275266

Admin guys digged into this and found out that Sharepoint
creates a new group for every new project and add me to
it. Somehow I was a member of more than 300 groups. They
removed my name from some, and that fixed the connection
problem. Thank you all.
