In other words, i have many y-values assigned to each x-value data point. Excel is averaging them out and producing one point. I would like to display all the points separately and not have them averaged out. Is this possible?

How are you doing it? Excel will not average anything unless you
deliberately tell it to do so.

X Y
1 2
2 3
1 4
1 8
3 4

will plot each point exactly where the coordinates tell it to.
