Pls Help: Re-Post

Hi Everyone,

I have posted this question before, and I did not get any
resolutions. I normally don't like "re-posters." Now,
look, I've become one.

I am really road-blocked here. Any help would be
greatly, greatly appreciate. I apologize for the re-post.

Hello All,

Boy, I'm having a weird one.

Out of the blue, my users have been experiencing a
frustrating problem with our Access 2000 application:

1. They will begin data entry on a form (any form).
2. It can be a new record or just editing a record.
3. Then, they will receive an AOL instant message, for
example.
4. Obviously, the instant message window will pop-up on
top of the access application (demanding focus).
5. When my users return to the form that they were
adding/editing data, all of their changes will be erased,
and thus, they will have to start over.
6. The erasing operates exactly "as if" they pressed the
esc key.
7. I used code to disable the esc key, but that did not
help.
8. The weirdest thing is that this problem began
happening out of the blue, so I fear that it may be a
Windown (not Access) issue.
9. The behavior also repeats itself with any other
windows application, besides AOL Instant Messenger,
that "steals" the focus from Access.

Has anyone ever seen this happen? Has anyone resolved
the issue? Does anyone have any ideas at all?

Any help at all would be much appreciated. I've been
working on it for hours, and I am out of ideas.

For those watching, I found my resolution.

If I upgrade from Acc2000 to Acc2002-3, the problem
resolves itself. I was not able to resolve it in 2000.
