Is Microsoft planning to release a Pocket PC Version of OneNote?

any such plans haven't been announced, yet. Service Pack 1
will support some kind of synchronization between PocketPC
notes and OneNote (one-way)

Count another vote in favor of a PocketPC implementation. I have some notes
that I would like to keep sync'd between my computer and my PPC, but I don't
need all of the "notes" from Outlook brought into OneNote. I also would
like the exchange to be bi-directional, which if I understand correctly the
SP1 implementation doesn't do (only goes from PPC to PC, right?).

right, only one-way. A OneNote implementation for PocketPCs
would be great. I would really like a better note taking tool
on my PPC - especially when talking about folders, secions,
pages, etc.

I don't know if I'd agree. To each his/her own of course! ;)

The screen real estate is already pretty small, and I would not want to
constantly scroll on my PocketPC to take a meeting's worth of notes. A
lot of the organization tools and the UI of OneNote would have to be
hidden or disappear completely on a PocketPC.

Some selective granularity of which Outlook Notes get carried into
OneNote would be good however.
