Poor Quality in Exported jpg Files from Slides

D

Dave Harding

I use PowerPoint from Office 2000 to draw illustrations. I like it and I
have learned to do what I need.

However, when I export the slide to a jpg file the quality of the jpg file
is frequently quite poor. They exhibit the fuzziness you get when you save
a graphic from a photo program using too much compression.

Recently I made a complicated graphic with several fine line scales. I was
unable to export a satisfactory graphic in any file format. Indeed, I am
embarrassed to say that I eventually printed the chart and scanned the
print. The result was much superior to any exported graphic.

How do I control the resolution and the amount of compression in PowerPoint
exported graphics.

TIA, Dave in Pennsylvania.
