POP3 Mail Won't Delete From Server

When I switch from my work computer to my home computer,
all the mail which I have deleted at work shows up at
home. I have checked the box which removes them upon
emptying the deleted messages box and I cleaned out the
box. I even did a "send/receive" after emptying the
deleted messages box just to make sure that my mail
server knew what I did.

Any suggestions?

There is an option in your provider account to specify to remove mail from
server or keep mail for xxx amount of days
