Hello everybody,

I initially installed Excel, Access, and Word XP on my machine, and updated
them using SP3.

Now when I try top use Office setup (to install Outlook XP), the installer
looks for an SP3 file in my Temp folder. So the setup is failing - I have
tried re-running the SP3 installation, which finished correctly saying that
SP3 was already applied, but I still cannot run Office Setup since that file
in not found.

Any idea how to get around this to get Outlook installed?

Thanks,
Bernie

Hello everybody,

In case anyone else has problems, I solved this by following some of the
instructions at

http://www.petri.co.il/office_xp_sp_slipstreaming.htm

The important one was extracting the service pack files by running the
command

C:\folder\OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-fullfile-enu.exe /t:c:\OfficeXPSP3 /c

where folder is the actual path.

Then, when I was prompted to find mainsp3ff.msp by Office Setup, I navigated
to the folder C:\OfficeXPSP3 and selected it.
