Is there an online tutorial on making a poster using Publisher. I have
version 2000. I noticed that there is a place in Page Setup to set the
size, but since I've never done this before, I'd like to have some
guidelines to follow.

Your best tutorial is the help files. All the instructions are there, with pictorial
aide.
