power point custom animation not working

My power point custom animation is working without the
speaker notes. But, when i have speaker notes and made my
focus on speaker notes and then back again to my
presentatiion, then my custom animation is not working

You can't see the animations when you are in notespage view.

Or do you mean that when you are typing in the little area beneath the slide
in Normal "edit" view, you cannot get the animations to work?

Or does "not working" mean something else? Can you clarify?

Which version of PPT are you using?
