Power point - won't allow changes "embedded font" what is this ?

Tried to open a power point presentation I use regularly. It now won't allow
changes on anything and a message tells me I can't edit the file because of
"embedded fonts".

What can I do to fix it. I have no idea how it got this way.
Thanks for any help

To fix this, you'll need to open the file in a different version of PPT (or
on a machine that has the embedded font -- to see which it is, go to
Format/Replace Fonts and see which one has a ? in front of it), unembed the
font (Tools/Options/Save), and resave the file.
