powerpoint 2000 error message

I keep getting "I/O Error 6" when trying to open a previously saved file. I
have closed and restarted several times with to no avail> What else can I do?

"An unexpected error occurred - I/O Error 0" or "An unexpected error
occurred - I/O Error 6"
