powerpoint 2000 to xp

I have made a powerpoint 2000 presentation in which I am using the
automatic slide transition after x seconds to stop an animation and
..wav music and move to the next slide. When I load it into a computer
which uses Powerpoint XP, it ignores the transition time, the music
plays to the end and the slide doesn't move to the next one. I suspect
I need to do somethinmg to the XP version, but I am not familair with
it.

Thanks in advance

The 'stop an animation' part of your post is not too clear, so I'm at a loss
for how to suggest fixes. But the sound part is do-able.

In PowerPoint XP, select the sound object (little blue speaker looking
thing). Right Click and select Custom Animations. In the Custom Animation
pane, select the sound and use the pull down menu to select 'Effect
Options'. If the box is checked next to Stop Playing 'On Click' change it
to 'After Current Slide'

This should fix the sound for you.
