PowerPoint 2000 won't open in Cluster environment

We have PPT 2000 installed on a cluster of web servers.
When attempting to open it, we get an error message:

Error 1606: Could not access network location
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\.

Any ideas what the problem and/or solution is?
