PowerPoint 2002 presentations won't open in 2003

I upgraded to 2003, now certain presentations created in 2002 won't open. I
have to ask someone in the office who has not upgraded to open the
presentation and extract the text I need. Anyone have a fix for this?

Have the updates been applied to PPT 2003? Go to HELP >> CHECK FOR UPDATES.
Are there embedded fonts in the presentations that are not installed on your
computer (this is a huge issue with PPT 2003)?
