Powerpoint 2002 resizes embedded Word tables after editing

When I'm done editing an embedded Word document (a table) and I click outside
the editing area, the table is resized. What's even more annoying is that I
have "lock aspect ratio" selected, but it resizes to something that doesn't
preserve the aspect ratio (for example: height 130%, width 90%). Is there an
option to select/deselect or something I can do while I'm editing to prevent
this? TIA

I have tried and failed to repro this problem

Are you up to date with service packs (ie sp3)?
This was a problem in powerpoint 2000 (cured by sp1) AFAIK it isnt in 2002
but its always worth getting up to date.
