powerpoint backgrounds?

you can use any graphic as a background (though it will distort if it is not
of the same proportions as the slide). If you have a picture you'd like to
use (I often scan the pictures from calanders for Powerpoint backgrounds)
just right click on the background of your slide, and select Background.

Then, on the color selector pull down menu, select "Fill Effects". Select
the "Picture" file tab, and click the "select picture" button. Navigate to
wherever the picture you want to use is, and select it. Powerpoint will then
insert the picture as a background.
