Powerpoint Cahnges format when saved to CD

Some of my Powerpoint presentations change format(i.e.-
first letters dropped from all lines in a slide, text
boxes increased so that the entire text is not visible on
the slide, etc.) when saved to CD and viewed on different
computers. The Powerpoint versions are often different as
are the Windows versions. Tried four different computers
today at work. The presentation was prepared with XP and
Office 2000 and worked OK from CD, worked OK on Win98 and
Office 97, didn't work correcty on WinXP and Office 2000
nor WinXP and Office 2002. Any ideas?

You have used fonts that the other systems don't have installed. When that
happens, PowerPoint (or the Viewer) will do the best job it can to find a
similar font, but nearly always your spacing will be impacted. When
planning to distribute a presentation it is wise to stick with common fonts
such as Arial and Times Romman.

If you want to know all about embedding fonts in your presentation, see:
