Powerpoint crashes and then file is deleted

We have had 3 occasions now where a user is using
powerpoint and it crashes. When the user then trys to
reopen the document it has disappeared. Any ideas

Michael,

What version of PowerPoint, and what exactly is the user doing when it
crashes? Any error messages? Do you have all the service packs installed?
