Powerpoint does not play my movie

I inserted an avi file into PP. When I run the slide, all I see is a capture
of the first screen and then the sound, but the video does not play, so
basically only audio. I think I have all the right codecs as the file plays
fine in WindowsMediaPlayer. Thanks.

Did you start with the avi in the same folder as the saved presentation? If
not this would be a good start, delete the movie and reinsert it from the
folder. Get back if no go

Sorry I accidentally opened 2 threads.. but yes the 2 files are under the
same folder with a short pathname.

Where did the avi file come from?

Do you know what created the avi ?
