In ppt 2007, is it possible for the font size to automatically reduce when
more info is being typed. I had this feature previously but somehow have
lost it.

Office button -> PowerPoint Options -> Proofing -> AutoCorrect Options ->
AutoFormat As You Type tab -> Tick bottom 2 boxes.

That will work for placeholders - for text boxes and shapes, add a shape ->
right click -> format shape -> text box -> set Autofit to 'Shrink text on
overflow' -> Close -> Right click shape -> set as default shape. Repeat with
a text box.
