Powerpoint for MAC OS X

I have an OS X user who is using the two tone fill effect
when creating a slide. When the file is sent to the HP
4550 COLOR printer, it doesn't print. This feature and
file will printer under O.S. 9.2.2.

Any Suggestions? Or known issues that I can tell the user
