Just in the last couple of weeks all my embedded graphs in all my power point files and been replaced with a red "X". I reinstalled Microsoft Office for Mac 2008; issue persists. All updates are current. I have macOS Sierra 10.12.4 Chart files are not huge and are not "linked files". Data is still there. Can't figure out how to increase memory for powerpoint, if that's the issue. Any suggestions?
