You can't run your PowerPoint presentation in Slide Show mode in Word! Why
would you? Word is Word and PowerPoint is PowerPoint! If you are concerned
of folks not having PowerPoint, you can have them download the free
PowerPoint Viewer at:

Kumar, what Bill Foley says about folks needing PowerPoint to view a
PowerPoint show is true. However, if your folks do have PowerPoint, you can
accomplish what you describe below in either of two ways. First, save your
PowerPoint presentation as a PowerPoint show (.pps extension). Then, in
Word, either:

Insert > Object > Create from File > Browse. Select the file, and Insert >
Display as icon > OK. The PowerPoint file will be represented by an embedded
icon.

OR

Insert > Object > Create from File > Browse. Select the file, and Insert >
OK. The PowerPoint file will be represented by a large graphic.

Save the Word document. Then you can double-click either the icon or the
graphic to launch your PowerPoint slide show.
