Powerpoint presentation view does not work. why?

i can edit and format do everything in PPoint except that when i want to view
in presentation it does not work. only a small minimized icon show in start
bar when i hit esc it disappears. any help? thanks.

Go to Slide Show|Set up Show and make sure you're not set to a secondary
monitor.
