Powerpoint Presenter View Crashes

In the Presenter View when you mouse click on the slide thumbs to control the
show, PPT crashes sporadically. It only seems to be affected by the mouse
clicks as the hot keys don't seem to do it, nor does using the mouse in any
other view other than presenter. This is really frusterating and
embarassing when you are trying to run a presentation for people.

I'm using Office XP with all service packs and Updates current
PIII 550 with a Jaton Video-198PCI-64 Twin dual Monitor out video card
Win 2K - SP4
The only thing this machine does is PPT, so other than OS & drivers, there's
nothing else installed on this box

I'd try turning down hardware acceleration.

I'd also make sure the video driver is up to date.

I'd probably also make sure the mouse driver is up to date. I know that
sounds weird, but I actually did have a bad mouse driver once, and it caused
oddball crashes at inopportune times.
