powerpoint problem with acrobat

Hi
When i install Powerpoint and acrobat 5.0 together,
powerpoint dsnt work. Hangs up at the beginning.
But when i uninstall acrobat, powerpoint has no problems.
Pls help

Only thing I really know to do is 1) see if there's an update available for that version of Acrobat (I think there is) and 2) rename the two Acrobat *.PPA files to something like *.OLD.

That Acrobat add-in for PPT is notoriously wonky.
