Maybe they are hidden.
Activate the slidesorter view. Is there a diagonal strikethrough sign across
the slide number. If so select all the slides which have the stikethrough
and click on the first button of your slide sorter toolbar, the icon
represents a slide with a diagonal line through it.

Also click "Slide Show", "Set up Show" and make sure the top right section
is set to show ALL slides.
