PowerPoint Video

Sarah

Hey,
I have a presentation that we have been playing for
two years on many different computers. I just got a new
lap top and for some reason power point (when installed
on this new computer) won't play a video clip. I've
talked to ppt technical support and tried many diff
things. Someone please help! When I try to insert the
same video clips we have been using it says either it is
a non-standard file or Quick Time is not installed
properly. I have downloaded quicktime to make sure my
computer has it and have tried so many different things
to make it work. Doesn't anyone have any light to shed?

Thanks,
Sarah

Sarah,
I would start with reading this PPT FAQ and the linked pages on it:
Solving MultiMedia problems
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00030.htm

This will help you fix what is going on, basically that your new laptop
doesn't have the codecs you need to run the video clips.
