Powerpoint with music saved on CD using my Tower

I tried to use this CD on my laptop and the slides work fine, but the music
will not come through. I need assistance on how to set up the laptop so
that it will play from the CD -- I can do the project on the laptop and it
will play, but not from a CD.

I so appreciate the contact. This information was helpful. Now I think
I've isolated something else -- the music I was trying to put on my slide
show was downloaded from Real Player and has a .RAX extension. How can I
convert that to a file that will play on WMA ?
