pps file won't print

Hi,
I downloaded a "read only" .pps file that I need to print but every time I
click on "print," nothing happens. (nothing goes into the print queue). Also,
my friend who needed to print this file as well had no problem printing
despite the fact that it was read-only. Any ideas??
