ppt 2007 graident background

when i select the background a try to change the color it only changes one
part (the top) of the background.. I liked the old way of a two color
graident where you could choose both parts and would like to use that in
2007. would some one be kind enough to share how to do that?

When in the gradient's window, you have 3 points of colors. Select point 3
and suppress it = same behavior as in the "old way" with 2 colors
